Strangelove has been teaching courses at the University of Ottawa’s Department of Communication since 2001.
In 1991 Strangelove compiled a directory of scholarly resources which was published by the Association of Research Libraries. From 1993–96 Strangelove was publisher of The Internet Business Journal. In 1994 he wrote and self-published the world’s first book on Internet Advertising.
More recently, Strangelove has written two books on media and society, The Empire of Mind and Watching YouTube, both published by Canada’s oldest and largest scholarly press, the University of Toronto Press.
